eBooks
eBooks are electronic books, not physical books, i.e. not the type sold in bookstores. eBooks have several advantages over regular books:
1) You can read them on your computer and easily adjust the text size for optimal viewing.
2) You can print them out and put the pages in a folder or binder and then make notes on the pages without damaging the book, as you can always print it out again if you wish.
3) It is very simple to search quickly for specific words and phrases in eBooks.
4) eBooks are generally considerably less expensive than their physical counterparts.
Most of the eBooks featured on this site are in Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf) format, which is by far the most popular format for electronic books. Most modern computers, both PC’s and Mac’s, come with Adobe Acrobat Reader pre-installed, but if it is not already installed it can be downloaded free from adobe.com.
Audio Books
You will also find lots of audio books listed that can be downloaded and played on your computer, MP3 player, etc., or burned onto CDs and played in your car, Walkman, DVD etc. The audio books are modern narrations in MP3 format which are suitable for all computers and portable music players, i-pods, etc.
